2019 Training Video

Name tags will be considered your access badge to the event and are only acquired through online registration.  This registration will close prior to the event.  This year, we WILL NOT HAVE WALK-UP REGISTRATION FOR VOLUNTEERS the night of the event.  Anyone arriving that night will be asked to serve in the red carpet area only.  If you wish to serve in other areas, please register now at fsnighttoshine.org.

One of the major changes for 2019 is the addition of an extra space for dancing.  We will be adding a heated tent next to the red carpet so that our gym can be used for eating.   Once a King or Queen exits the limo, they will be very close to the tent and can easily go directly to dance.

Another major change for 2019 involves our Food Service team.  In previous years, dinner has been serve yourself buffet.   This year we will be serving our Kings and Queens as waitstaff.  We hope this will be a more efficient way to get our Kings and Queens to their activities.

We have also added a second Karaoke room.   If you have been to both previous year’s Fort Smith Night to Shine, we will be using the two rooms from both previous years.
Karaoke Room 1 – Just outside the Queen’s exit.
Karaoke Room 2 – In the Annex, by the Red Carpet

Night to Shine Volunteer t-shirts will be available for $10 ($12 for 2XL and 3XL) each in a variety of sizes on a first-come, first-served basis in the WestArk office on the following dates/times:

– Tuesday, January 29 – Thursday, January 31 from 12:30-4:00PM

– Tuesday, February 5 – Thursday, February 7 from 12:30-4:00PM.

If there are any remaining shirts, they will be available for sale on the night of the event.

Many of our volunteers this year will have special Night to Shine t-shirts this year.   If you need a medical team volunteer or a safety & security team member, look for the red Night to Shine shirts.

If you have a general question that you haven’t been able to find an answer to, look for a team member in the blue Night to Shine shirts.

We hope that having these two team members wearing different shirts will make the night less confusing and more enjoyable for everyone.
